As global buyers increasingly demand consistency, durability, and premium hand-feel in knitwear, Siu Shing Knitwear has announced a major enhancement of its end-to-end in-house quality control system. The move reaffirms the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality knitted sweaters for men, women, and children, as well as customized orders for brands, e-commerce platforms, and overseas markets.

Unlike outsourcing critical production steps, Siu Shing Knitwear operates a vertically integrated manufacturing system under its factory division "Wansheng", which oversees every stage from raw material selection to final garment inspection. With the newly strengthened quality protocols, the company now implements even stricter checks at five key control points: yarn intake, knitting, washing & finishing, shaping, and final packing.

"Quality is not just about the final product — it is built into every loop and every seam," said a senior production manager at the Siu Shing Knitwear factory. "By tightening our in-house control, we can ensure that each batch, whether large-scale or customized small-lot, meets the same standard of softness, fit, and durability."

The factory is equipped with advanced knitting machinery and staffed with an experienced process team that works closely with the trading division "Zhaocheng". This unique manufacturing-plus-trading structure allows Wansheng to react quickly to client feedback while maintaining full traceability of every production stage. For example, yarn lots are now tested for colorfastness and tensile strength before entering production; during washing and drying, parameters are digitally recorded to guarantee consistent shrinkage and hand-feel; and each finished sweater undergoes a point-by-point size and appearance check.

According to the company, the enhanced quality system already benefits international customers who require private-label and OEM orders. Brands from Europe and North America, as well as fast-growing e-commerce sellers, have reported fewer returns and higher repeat order rates since the upgrade was rolled out earlier this year.

Moving forward, Siu Shing Knitwear plans to further digitize its quality data and share select reports with clients as part of its transparent supply chain solutions.
